Can posts auto downgrade from Featured to Primary?

    I understand how to set posts to featured, primary for the large thumbnails, and secondary for ‘More articles’ on the front page. After some testing, I see that the posts do not automatically downgrade.

    For example, after 7 Featured posts, my 1st featured ‘disappears’ from the front page (because the slider only holds 6). Is there a way to have that 1st post automatically downgrade to “Recent Articles” (Primary) or a “More articles” (Secondary)? So that I don’t lose it from the front page? Right now, I’m having to manually do it and I can see that being a nightmare after several posts.

    Perhaps, I’m looking at the “point” of the layout incorrectly and people use this differently?

    I would also like to know if this is possible, as it would be a great feature.

    Would love this feature! Having many posts, it is much work to update post locations.

    It would be a great help if the post location could be shown in the “all posts” overview and if you could edit the location of a selection of several posts at once.
    Or at least quick edit it…

    Agreed. Some sort of easier way to edit this would be sweet. Quick edit would be great. I also wish it was searchable or that there was a filter. Hmmm, I guess I could add categories for the three types, but then I have to remember to edit the category every time I edit the home page Post Location.
    Although, that wouldn’t be so bad if the Post Location was editable in Quick Edit.
    Fingers crossed that the devs are cooking up a future solution.

    oh finally i found the same problem with other wordpress-Oxygen-theme user! Actually i also having a dificult situation with this, so am looking for the answer from the oxygen developer (maybe?). Because until this time, i still editing the first post in ‘feature’ and ‘primary’ location and move them to ‘secondary’ location everytime i want to post a new article, and yeah it’s a nightmare. 🙁
