Just found out about this plugin via Jeff and interested in trying it out so have signed up for an API key πŸ™‚

Was wondering if you would consider:

    1. Updating the url of the BruteProtect logo for the admin interface – mine currently links to BruteProtect-Logo-Text-Only-75.png but this does not exist in the folder (only 40)

    2. Adding a blank index.php to the plugin folder to prevent directory listing?

    Thanks πŸ™‚

  • Agree with both points from flick’s comments.

Would also like to see Plugin moved under Settings or Tools rather than directly under Plugins.

And – how do we see how many attacks against our individual sites have occurred? Currently we only see the total Stats, nothing site specific.

    thanks!

Hey Flick– thanks! Both of those issues are handled in the update coming later this evening.

    Best,

Thanks @sam for considering the suggestion πŸ™‚

I think @kelter had some suggestions too (second post above)

Hey Kelter– stats for your site will start showing up once we’ve blocked an attack for your site– they’re hidden until that number is at least 1.

You can see here what that display looks like:

Regarding where to put it in the menus– there’s been some internal debate going on about whether it belongs under “Tools” or “Plugins”. At this point, we’ve put it under “Plugins” because we consider it to be similar to Akismet, and that’s where they’ve put theirs. We have a major update in the pipeline that might cause us to rethink that positioning… Definitely interested in hearing any opinions!

Thanks Sam – All makes sense.
    Thanks for BruteProtect!
