Registration email can't handle apostrophes

Using version 3.1.2 of the plugin, I noticed that apostrophes in the registration email present an issue.

In the body text, for example, “you’ll” becomes “you\’ll” after it’s saved. I thought this just might be escaping apostrophes or something, but it appears that way in the actual email as well. Further, after saving again, it becomes “you\\\’ll”, and each time you save it, more slashes appear.

In the subject line, anything appearing after an apostrophe is truncated upon saving.

Quotation marks seem to cause the same behavior.

I’ve ensured that I’m pasting in plain text, but it still happens.

Any help is appreciated. This is a very good and useful plugin that I appreciate having been built.
