Lost links to single records

    In the past two weeks, the links to the single records of our participants’ entered data stopped working. Instead of going to the associated URL, they went to a page that says “This is somewhat embarrassing . . .”. (Yes, we were making changes to the database and didn’t keep notes on the changes.) I tried to restore the URL by editing a single record and changing the permalink to the URL of the associated page. It worked beautifully for that record. But, then we noticed that all records were linked to that one page. We have put in a temporary fix by having the single records go back to the list of records.

    Is there anyway to restore links to the pages for the single pdb records?

    Did you try going into the setting and made sure the “single Record Page” setting was correct. It sounds like that setting is now pointing to a non-existent page. It just needs to be updated to point to the correct page.

    We did check that, but on closer inspection, it appears that our single Record Page had been deleted. After creating a new single Record Page and updating the setting, the links are working again!
