Tried to Backup and Now Entire WordPress Site is Gone

    I am a wordpress amateur and i started the plug-in Online Backup for WordPress from Backup technology today. Once I backed up the site it shut down my site entirely and is now asking my to install wordpress. When i visit the site directly it takes me to wordpress installation site. When i go to the site/wp-admin same thing. However, it never follows through and actually installs wordpress… it stops and heads to a blank screen. Help!!

    Hi courtneyliz,

    We’ve never seen this happen ourselves before. It may be something to do with your host’s configuration. It is possible the backup used more space than you had available and your host took the database offline.

    When we’ve had it reported before, the site has been restored to normal after a few minutes or so. Best to contact your host about it.
