  • Hey Jamie,

Thanks for posting! The process in which to reorder your fields on your WordPress plugin’s signup form is actually going to be very similar as it was in the old MailChimp design. Ultimately, to reorder the field order that your plugin’s form utilizes you’ll need to: a) reorder your fields in the Form Builder of your List inside of your MailChimp Account and b) use the “update list” button that’s inside of your WordPress plugin’s Settings area.

Now, the KB article you linked to is still referencing the old design, so I can definitely understand the confusion here. As we transition to the new MailChimp design, there are still some areas that need updating, and this is an example of one here. I’ll make sure to pass that link along to our documentation team!

In the mean time, I’d be happy to walk through the steps ya need to take! Okay, first we want to reorder our fields in your MailChimp account. Log in to MailChimp, then click on the Lists tab. From there, click on the title of the List in question, then click on “Signup Forms” at the top. You should then see an area called “General Forms”. Click the “select” button there.

Once there, you should see the Form Builder. Click and drag the fields in the order that you’d like your form to have them in and you should see those changes saved.

Now, just one more step, which is to update your plugin’s settings. To do that, log in to your WP-admin area, then go to the Plugins area and go to the Settings page for our WordPress plugin. From there, click the “update list” button at the top. You should now be good to go!

If you have any questions about the actual plugin’s process, feel free to post back here. If you’re having trouble locating the Form Builder inside of your MailChimp account, I’d recommend reaching out to our Support team through email or live chats! (the link is on the right-hand side of our KB articles)
