Mobile access

Hi, I had problems where I would get my old website design when accessing my domain on a mobile device, so I deleted a “mobile” folder in my root directory files, and now when I access my site through a mobile device, I get a blank page that says “authentication error”. However if I access a post or page other than the homepage on a mobile device, I can see it no problem. My web-host has been as much help as a pair of socks on this subject. Is there a fix for mobiles to be able to access the homepage? Perhaps files I can replace in the root directory?
