Support » Themes and Templates » don't show "featured thumbnail" before post

  • Hi, I’m using the theme “Scrappy”, but did not find a solution in the corresponding forum. Also, it seems like this is more of a general question. I would like to set a “featured image” with an entry/asrticle, but NOT have it displayed in front of the article (like here: http://www.minimedi.de/blog/), only as a thumbmail in listings. I have tried deleting all the “post-thumbnail” entries from the style.css, but that only removed scaling and centering of the image. I already created a child theme – but now I don’t know what to do. Thanks for your help, Ulrich

  • An easy solution might be not to use Featured Image but to simply insert the image into the post at the top.

    Hi,
that would be perfect … but I need the “featured image” for links on Facebook etc. – I did not use it for my first few posts, and if somebody links to them (or if they pop up on a recommendation inside my website), there’s a blank square or a random image or the favicon… So, unfortunately, I have to set the image, but disable it on the page with the new blog entries…
    Thanks, Ulrich
