Dates not in sync with current year

The calendar is showing showing today’s date (28th June 2013) as falling on a Saturday when it infact falls on a Friday. The Calendar seems to be somehow synced to the wrong year?

I’ve checked this on the twentytwelve theme to check if my theme was influencing it in some way, but it appeared the same. The timezone in wordpress is also set correctly.
