It depends on the theme. Some theme’s are as easy as just creating a child theme, making a copy of the parent theme’s footer.php file and editing the footer that way.

Other themes are a little more complicated. Which theme are you using?

I created my own theme using artisteer. could that be a problem?

    Sorta. Ish. 😉

We don’t support themes from Artisteer here but you can try editing the footer.php file directly (generally not a good idea) or as I said create a child theme, making a copy of the parent theme’s footer.php file and editing the footer that way.

The reason you want to go with a child theme is so that your changes will not be lost when a theme update comes out. I’m not sure that applies to Artisteer themes though.

Ok thank you so much for you time.
Can you please help me again on another problem..

When i was uploading my interim site to be live online http://www.orangeridge.co.za i changed my home url address as it should be done, and now, after changing it, it logged me out of dashboard now i cannot log in anymore, i tried clearing my cookies but it doesn’t help. What could be the problem?

create a new topic please 🙂
