I am currently running a blog in WP 2.0 on one of my domains and want to move it to a different domain and run it on WP 2.3.
I understand the basic issues involved both with upgrading and with the domain move as two different operations. My question is whether doing one before the other matters in any way (fewer potential problems for example).
Should I upgrade to 2.3 on the old domain, then move it to the domain with 2.3 installed there? Or should I install 2.0 on the new domain, move the blog, then upgrade to 2.3?
I am assuming that installing 2.3 on the new domain and trying to move the 2.0 files as is into it is a bad idea, but do correct me if I'm wrong about that.
