Hi, I want to run two blogs in one database (multisite). I have activated this feature. Since one blog is already up and running, I don’t have the option of different folders anymore, only subdomains. The tow blogs should be reached from two different TLDs (www.minimedi.de and http://www.minimedi.com in my case). Apparently, I could somehow “move” my installation manually to do the subfolder-thing, but I’m not sure how to do it. Should I go with a subdomain? Will that leave my other domain (that’s already in use) in peace, or mess with it? Or should I go for folders? Or should I maybe do a backup, start over, setup subfolders, re-install the first blog from the backup? Thanks! Ulrich

Keep it as subdomain. It won’t impact your existing site (subfolders WILL change your urls).

Then use a domain mapping plugin 🙂

Oh, I forgot something, one of the blogs will be English, the other German. The WP interface can be either or, doesn’t mater, but will I be able to set the site’s languages differently with a “multisite” installation? Thanks, Ulrich

OK, I set up the multisite feature and now I have the option to set up a “network” – apparantly, these are a different kind of pages (at least in the German GU it’s called “Seiten”, like a WP-page, but it’s clearly something else)… What to do now? Thanks, Ulrich

Hi, I have fiddled with this whole MU thing all day today, and it’s not worth the trouble (in my case). 😉
