for whatever reason, I am having an issue with this plugin when it comes to the “The Events Calendar” plugin. When this plugin is active, it redirects the first event that “The Events Calendar” lists on the page it creates.

If I disable the redirection plugin, there are no issues.

The url to the events list is “events/” or http://www.domain.com/events/. The events list is updated daily automatically. So each day, the events list starts off with that days events and the older events drop off.

The url to specific event details is “event/” followed by the event name, so something like “www.domain.com/event/your-event-name/.

I can get the the events list without any issues. However, when I click on the first url on the page, it ALWAYS redirects me to the homepage.

I have tried creating pass-thrus and have tried setting up so that specific urls have the “do nothing” status attached. Nothing works.

I do not want or need a redirect for the “www.domain.com/events” or “www.domain/event/details/” urls. I just want them to go the pages that are setup for them.

Anyone have any thoughts or advice?

I was messaged a fix so I thought I would share it.

When using the redirection plugin with “The Events Calendar”, you need to add a “do nothing” rule for the “event” detail page. And it needs to be prior to any other redirection rules.

Once I implemented the “do nothing” and made it the first rule in my list, everything worked.

Still not sure why there was a conflict, but it is working now.
