Editing information of template/theme

    Hello Everybody!

    Normally I work without wordpress, just easy plain html pages but someone asked me to help him out. He said: ” The information on our website needs to change (The business hours of the restaurant). And I said, okay give me the ftp info and I’ll look it up. Well I found out that the website maker did use wordpress. I’ve managed to get the login from wordpress and I read a lot of how to’s etc.

    Things I know so far;
    – The homepage of this website is a “blog” and not static.
    – When I change this option to “Static”, the home page will be just blank. You only see a menu bar with Home/Contact/About us/ Etc. But there are no further information.

    What I want to do is just change some text lines on the home page (Changing “Monday till Tuesday from 8:00 – 18:00” // To “Monday closed, Tuesday from 8:00 – 18:00”)

    The problem is, I can’t find something where I can change any characters or numbers. I do find template info like the hights or colours. But that’s not the thing I’m looking for…

    Could someone help me out? Thanks very much!

    Hmmm a link to the this page might be helpful 🙂

    I guess what you want to change seems to be “Content”, so you might find these text inside the admin area – but from here – I cant tell you where. Maybe its inside a widget (design > widgets)…

    I can’t edit or move widgets, I see “Available widgets” but I can’t do anything with them 🙁

    Hmmm… Can you please post a link to the page?
    Its strange that you cant edit or move widgets – are you logged in as an admin user?

    EDIT: After updating the “Google Maps” Plug-in, I can now move widgets.

    So the “Openingstijden” on the homepage is a Widget… can you edit it as you want to?

    Thanks a lot again! I have it now, after I could move the widgets I figured out the information characters which I needed.

    For people with the same problem, this is what I did;
    I updated the google maps plug in, closed my internet browser and opened it up again. I logged in at wordpress again and suddenly I could move widgets, at the right of my screen I saw some “Footers”. I found my information in there and changed it.
