Hi All,
Apologies if the answer is elsewhere but I put in some time looking and can't find it.
I have bbpress integrated with Wordpress, and on the Wordpress end of things, when people who have registered with bbpress login to Wordpress, their username displays on comments as "Anonymous." (I have disabled anonymous commenting, but this is a separate issue.)
I went into this user's account and the Nickname and Display Name fields were blank. Changing the display name to the person's username fixed this. But I don't want to have to do this for every user who registers via bbpress.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Best bet would be to make folks register on the wordpress site and remove any mention of registering on the bbpress site. As I understand the procedure, both softwares use the user table out of wordpress for management. If they signup on the bbpress side, the data isn't going to be on the wordpress side.

My understanding was that by using wordpress integration and bbpress integration plugins, this was possible.
If you have the bbPress integration plugin, it is setup to pull registrations from the bbPress side into the wp_users table. If you haven't fixed this then I would suggest sneaking over to the bbPress forums for a little more help :)
