   I get this when I try to upload a photo:

   Unable to create directory /var/www/vhosts/vieriberretti.com/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads/2007/12. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

   any suggestions?

   I mean no offense but have you done what the error message has suggested? Have you checked to see if the parent directory (in this case 'uploads') is writable? Should have a file permission set to 755.

   Thanks for the advice, I went to the reference: change file permissions, but when I right click on index rather than a pop up I get a different page that has no place to change the permission file to 755. I am using a mac and plesk 8.2.1 would that make a difference?
