• Hello. I developed a site using artisteer. I’ve never run into this problem before so now I have to ask why it doesn’t work. Typcially when I develop sites, I do not use underline links. In this case, my client would like for me to. So, in the css I use this below but for whatever reason, the links will not underline unless I manually underline them in the editor. Help would be greatly appreciated.

    .art-postcontent a, .art-postcontent a:link
    {
    font-size: 13px;
    font-family: Arial, ‘Arial Unicode MS’, Helvetica, Sans-Serif;
    font-weight: bold;
    font-style: normal;
    text-decoration: underline;
    color: #324253;
    }

    .art-postcontent a:visited, .art-postcontent a.visited
    {
    font-size: 13px;
    font-family: Arial, ‘Arial Unicode MS’, Helvetica, Sans-Serif;
    font-weight: bold;
    font-style: normal;
    text-decoration: underline;
    color: #324253;
    }

    .art-postcontent a:hover, .art-postcontent a.hover
    {
    font-size: 13px;
    font-family: Arial, ‘Arial Unicode MS’, Helvetica, Sans-Serif;
    font-weight: bold;
    font-style: normal;
    text-decoration: underline;
    color: #A6B7C9;
    }

  • There’s no way to help with CSS questions by looking at code only – sounds like it may be getting overridden by other CSS? A browser tool like Firebug should show you why particular CSS is not working.

    Thanks for that. I opened firebug and looked at the CSS. In firebug, it’s showing text decoration none. When I’m in my CSS on the back end, it has underlined? What would cause that?

    Hmm. That’s weird. I just double checked my CSS and updated and now the links are underlined. That’s just strange.

    To test if it’s being overridden, add !important

    text-decoration: underline !important;

    Or why not just make the changes in Artisteer and export the theme again; that’s what I’d do.

    Well put on the breaks. Even more strange. As long as I was logged into my dashboard, the links all have underline. But once I logged out, the underline disappeared.
