Without seeing the template, I can’t say exactly how, but you have a space (which is converted to an underline) at the end of the field name, and that seems to trigger an error.

I can’t see where there is a trailing space and have looked good and hard!! The actual template was an exact copy (just renamed) of a working one.

For the benefit of others reading this thread…the problem is an ampersand in the field name. It breaks things, so if you’ve got field names with an ampersand, you’ll need to alter your database in both the wp_participants_database table and the wp_participants_database_fields table.
Note that this is the name we’re talking about here not the title.
I have it fixed in the next update so it won’t create field names with an ampersand.
