PLEASE HELP… The scenario I have is the following:

    1. I am the administrator of the blog, and I defined it such that newly registerd users are “authors”.

    2. A new user XXX registers.

    3. I write a new post or edit an old post/page of mine.

    4. The new or edited post/page appears from now on as if it was posted by user XXX.

    HELP?

I wonder if it has anything to do with pingback or similar feature… My posts include cross-links between them, and long ago I “played” with pingback…

Also, could it be some kind of an unwanted HACK ?

    Found the answer in http://wordpress.org/support/topic/105886

Apparently the admin user does not always show in the “post author” list when posting/editing. So by default the recent user was picked from the top of the list.

The simple solution was to create another “non-admin” user (author only) in order to post to my own blog.

A smarter solution would tweak the appropriate php files, but who has time for this…
