I hope someone can help me with this.

I have a private site with one username/password for numerous people. This is a school site and in order for it to be simple for the parents of the students, we give one username/password per semester so that parents can login and see the lunch menu and general information/calendars.

Is there a way to not have the email associated with the user account be the one that is added to the subscribe2 database? Can there be an ‘Enter email here to subscribe’ always on and not dependent on any logged in user? Keep in mind that the only way to get into the site is via a login, there is no public entry to the site.

  • @shaunklink,

While this is theoretically possible it would requires fairly extensive editing and changes to the current code, it’s not a simple as just placing the form manually because it’s the code that dose the email address checking to make sure it’s not already a registered account.

Could you use the Compulsory category option to achieve the desired functionality on your site?
