I’m using the shortcode [events_list country="US" category="63" recurring=1]#@_{l}s, #_EVENTDATES at #_EVENTTIMES[/events_list] to display a list of recurring events within a certain category. The list that appears is almost perfect. 🙂

The list indeed includes future recurring events, as it should. However, it also includes recurring events that started in the past but finished in the future. For example, if I have a weekly recurring event where the first recurrence is last week and the last recurrence is next week, the recurring event will show up in the list.

Is there a way to display recurring events that begin in the future?

  • Do you mean to show only recurring events that being in the future?

Yes. But only those that begin in the future.

For example, today is June 17. I have a recurring event set up where the first event in the series was on May 8. The last event in the series will not be until June 26.

What I’m hoping to do is to have [events_list recurring=1] not display this recurring event because June 17 is in the past.

have you tried options page at Events > Settings > Pages > Event List/Archives > Are current events past events ?
