  • Yes I am having a similar problem. Reader upload their image and it doesn’t appear immediately so they refresh the page and then it uploads it twice, three times however many times they refresh and then they think something is broken and give up.

    Same problem for me.
Nice to see some response/support/acknowledgment from authors…. not.

    Same problem here.

    Fundamental functionality flaw there.

I have given up on nextgen now. But I am struggling to find an alternative. Can anyone help?

Yes this is a killer and it’s probably very easily resolved.

I’ve been trying to fix this issue with a ‘redirect’ after the user clicks upload.

I’ve managed to get the redirect script to work with javascript, it redirects.. but it prevents the file from uploading 🙁

Could someone supporting this plugin please steer me in the right direction to add a redirect script!!! The plugin is pretty much useless without it and like Volvon, I can’t find an acceptable alternative.

@volvon.. even if you don’t want it to redirect to another page, by specifying the page your gallery is on in the redirection script it will reload the current page without reposting. So keep shouting for this if you can :))

    Cheers guys

are no “success” messages showing up indicating that the image was processed successfully? It’s not powered by ajax so it’s going to rely on page reload, but the nature of PHP would have $_POST values still. Refreshing would re-post it.
