There may be multiple instances of the jQuery library being called by the various plugins. You want only one available at a time. Check to see which the “carousel” uses and if it isn’t the latest, you may want to consider contacting the developer to request the code be updated.

I’ve also experienced a jQuery conflict. – It looks as if the plugin is loading the 1.4.2 version which is not comprehensive though the version sipped with WP 3.5.2 is 1.8.3.
I’ve asked the plugin author if an update is on it’s way.
