• I’ve gone through the first round of generating Sitemaps, and have noticed that the sitemap includes a category which I want to exclude from the search. This category is filled with pages which are all marked private within the site, so it is obviously better for me if the pages in these categories are not included in the sitemap. As a matter of site ranking, it is also better for the search engines, since the pages are private, and cannot be accessed anyway.
I’ve seen that in the “news map” there is a way to include or exclude categories, but I’ve been unable to find this same feature for the standard sitemaps.

Yes right now that feature is unavailable to normal sitemaps, news sitemaps are special ones and can be taken care of quite easily because only posts are involved.

please need this feature on normal sitemaps : i have news category that i need to remove from normal sitemaps because it’s on news sitemaps, and google say “errors” because the news sitemaps in repetead on normal sitemaps so we have to remove the news category from it thank’s

How do it fix the following error:
“taxonomy_slider_category.xml does not have any item. You can fix this easily by excluding any post types / terms you do not use in Sitemap Generator tab within your admin area. If you still see this error, consider checking the module that generates this sitemap (taxonomy.php). – See more at: http://betsaleelpro.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=bwp_gxs_stats#sthash.dDmbs8gy.dpuf”

Is the Slider taxonomy having any term that has posts in it? Also I think you should open a new support topic.

    Thanks…
