First of all, thanks for re-doing Reddle in wordpress.org. I had downloaded the .com version from svn but it needed tweaking that I couldn’t do.

However, the links page template no longer seems to be working.

Then I realised that I could not see any page templates at all – after adding a page, the Page Attributes shows Parent and Order, but not templates.

I noticed in the Codex it says “Note: Sometimes it is necessary to switch to the WordPress Default Theme, then back to your theme, for the Template choices to appear! “

I’ve tried this and it doesn’t work. If I switch back to old style Reddle, the links page works fine.

    Links page is at http://www.brentfordhistory.com/resources/links-2/

I’ve discovered the issue – I missed out an asterisk in front of the template name so it wasn’t picked up. All that fuss over a *.

Next issue then, is like the old Reddle (.com), the links page doesn’t work properly, with the sidebar appearing below the post rather than to the right. What should I be doing to rectify this? I’ve tried fiddling but haven’t found the solution.

Make sure the markup and class name of your custom template is the same with theme’s template. In case you need different markup, make sure the class name of main container is the same that theme uses.

Thank you for that. Problem now solved.
