Support » Fixing WordPress » category-template.php problem

  • I’m experiencing some troubles with the category-template.php (could be something with mimbo theme…)

Catchable fatal error: Object of class stdClass could not be converted to string in …\wp-includes\category-template.php on line 31

If i delete line 31, or 30 and 31, everything seems to work fine. But i’m not sure about the function of this lines.

    It’s safe deleting it?

    Thanks in advance.

No, it’s not safe deleting it. It’s never safe to randomly delete code.

It’s probably something the theme is doing wrong. Take it up with the theme author. Or use a different theme.

But unless you *really* understand and know what you’re doing, do not edit the WordPress core files.

Just ues permalink instead of default link, then the error would disappear.
