Taxes in Woocommerce Not Showing

I’m working on a site where the sales taxes in Woocommerce are not showing up at all at checkout or anywhere else. (Partner’s partner has login for Woothemes site and I can’t post questions there for now). All the settings seem to be correct, but I haven’t used WC before so I could be missing something.
Going to start troubleshooting it by seeing what class-wc-cart.php is doing – seems to be at least one place where tax calculations are worked with, but in the meantime, if someone has an idea of where to look or what to try, I’d appreciate it.
