Absolute site links converted to relative links

    Absolute site links are converted to relative links when the links are pasted into a custom right side content field. Typed out site links are not converted, but if you paste anything into the content block, all the site links are converted to relative links. Links that link out from the site are never converted. We’ve experienced this problem on multiple browsers and both Macs and PCs, but not consistently. We can see that absolute links will be converted to relative links if when we click the “HTML” button the “Update” button is green and on the left side and the “Cancel” button is red and on the right side. When the Update and cancel buttons are grey the link conversion does NOT happen. When the links are converted they break so we need this to be fixed. Please help.

    I’m not sure what you are talking about here.

    Can you please provide specific steps to replicate.. or a screenshot?

    Have you tried deactivating all your other plugins… and even switching to the default twentytwelve theme… to rule out possible plugin or theme conflicts?

    If it is happening inconsistently.. then it most definitely sounds like a coding conflict (plugin, theme, etc.).
