• Perhaps someone had such case:

If I’m using float on image and also EM formatting in the text which is displayed next to this image, image would be cropped right in the same line where EM formatting starts. This is affecting only IE7. I also have such impression, that the same thing happens with UL tag.

Does anyone have an idea about this? (I’m using WP v 2.2.3)

How about a link so we can see what is occurring? 🙂

Have you tested your site against a validator?

    OK here we go 🙂

I made word “Ingredients:” italic. Interesting that when I made italic words “peeled and diced” on there next line everything was OK… I thought maybe it’s because “Ingredients:” was also bold, but after removing strong tag image was still clipped.

There were many errors with xhtml validator, but almost all of them related with special characters inside links.

It would be interesting if someone with fully validating site could reproduce this situation. You need only one floating image and try to make all or part of the text next to this image italic with standard EM tag.

Couple remarks. My theme is based on the standard kubric. And if you will refresh that page 4 or 5 times advertisement below the title will disappear (that’s in case you would think that is the cause of that conflict).

(although it is about IE5… it seems that fine browser doesn’t change its behavior)

Note. I don’t see the “cropping” in IE6 on Win XP.
