Failed to Open Page too many times

I’ve constantly been frustrated when I try to open my page and I get a “Failed to Open Page” “Safari can’t find Server”. It has happened more than once and I would really like to know why.
I’ve contacted the host and they say it should be a problem with wordpress. Is it? Has this happened to other blogs?
