We close our theatre ticket sales at midday before the show, but the plugin applies an unchangeable expiry time to each performance (the start time)

Could you possibly add a feature to enter a custom expiry time for each performance, unrelated to the actual start time of the performance?

    Hope so 🙂

The StageShow+ version already includes a couple of “per-performance” options, and actually shows the expiry date/time of the performance, but this currently can’t be updated. I look at what is involved to implement the change you have requested as an extension to this part of the admin interface and post again once I’ve had a look at it.

Custom Performance Expiry Time will be included in the next release of StageShow+

I have no plans to add it to the version of StageShow on WordPress.org

Thanks… this is a great feature. Thanks for adding it!

Edit: Slight problem – date and time of show not showing up in the box office now…

Just re-tested the current version, and the Box Office works OK with my settings.

Could you send me a screenshot, and the Page Source, of your Box Office page please, so I can investigate further?

A quick look through the Page Source for your Box Office page shows that while each line looks identical, the output is in row pairs. The first is a space, while the second is the HTML code for a space. When a ticket is added to the trolley, and then “Checked Out” the date & time is passed through to the payment page, so it appears that the date & time is correctly set up, and possibly the formatting of the date & time output is the problem.

I’m wondering if the problem is the WordPress “Date Format” and “Time Format” on your site. I tried setting these to “Custom” and entering empty values, and got the same output. Try changing the values on the WordPress General Settings page to the default values and see what you get. Alternatively you could define the value of STAGESHOW_DATETIME_BOXOFFICE_FORMAT, which overrides the WordPress date/time settings, in your wp_config.php file. A typical definition is as follows:
    define(‘STAGESHOW_DATETIME_BOXOFFICE_FORMAT’, ‘d-m-Y H:i’)

Ahhh yes.. thanks… something must happened to the variables. I reset them and it all works now.

Ta for your ace support 🙂

No problem … if you could post a review, that would be great!
