• I am having trouble with the bbpress/wordpress integration.

I am running bbpress o.83 and wordpress 2.3.1, and the latest versions of wordpress integration (0.7) and bbpress integration (0.74). Plugins are activated, $bb->wp_table_prefix is set in bbpress’s config.

Here’s what is working: if you start your user account on the wordpress end, you can then log into the bbpress forum, no problem.

However, if you start on bbpress and register there, wordpress does not recognize you.

    You then get this message:

You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

I _think_ it might have something to do with how the default new user role in bbpress is “Member” and the one in wordpress is “subscriber.”

I looked at the account of one such bbpress-registered user in wordpress and under role it had “no role for this blog.”

If I go in and change the role to subscriber, the user can login to wordpress.

So I need to know how to ensure that bbpress registrants are being assigned the subscriber role by wordpress.
Of course this can be done manually, but by the time I get to it, the person has tried to login and become frustrated!

I am not very experienced in all this and would appreciate any help you can give.

    Thanks!
