database repair failed

    Woke up to database not found error and followed directions for database repair

    It failed and suggested posting the following here and ask for assistance

    wp_options: Table is marked as crashed
    wp_postmeta: 1 client is using or hasn’t closed the table properly
    wp_blogs: 1 client is using or hasn’t closed the table properly

    When posting a blog entry yesterday it did seem to act odd, yet with a refresh behaved and appeared fine.

    any suggestions on how to resolve? I believe I have a backup from Sunday – I hope.

    Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by Phpmyadmin.

    – repairing the database tables again.

    Followed the directions and the repair worked – removed -old and -hold and removed permit repair line from config and all is well.
