My company wants to use WP for two purposes. One is a traditional blog about travel. The other is to use WP as a CMS such that particular entries in that blog like "city overview" content can be used on another related website.
Is there a way to have an HTML page read the contents of a particular blog entry? We don't want the surrounding GUI aspects of the entry, just the text/photos and do not want it to be a feed that presents the latest post to a category... it would be a specific story (via permalink) that is "inserted" into our other HTML pages.

Sorry but it's not exactly what I'm looking for.
My goal is to be able to access it from another site on another server, which happens to be non-php at this time.
It's a great find, though, Michael and I'm definitely keeping the link as a fallback if we can't work it another way. Thanks!

You are going to want to use some ajax and pull in the feed.
Check out dynamicdrive.com and see if you can't find some code there that would work.
