One way to do achieve this (depending on how your menus is set up):
First, if you haven’t done so already, you’ll need to upload the HTML file to your web host.
Second, once you upload your HTML file, you can add a custom link to your menu under Appearance > Menu.
Do you have FTP or Control Panel access to your web host?
An alternative option: depending on how much style your resume has, you might be able to create a Page in WordPress, select the HTML editor tab, and paste the body of the resume into it.
Actually, if you don’t have FTP or Control Panel access to your web host, you should be able to upload an HTML file directly WordPress by going to Media > Add New and selecting the file — just like you would any other. Then you can find the File URL by going to Media > Library and clicking on the name of the file you just uploaded.
Thanks, that worked like a charm. But as in all such things, it leads to the next question. I’ve got the resume file associated with a Page that appears as a menu tab on the main pages header image, when I click that tab/menu item it takes me to my resume, but it contains the html mark us symbols a text; i.e., all the <xx></xx>, <hn> … stuff. I think I dove into this thing with unreasonable expectations, it looks like I’ll have to slow down and learn a little something – I hate that. But, this is only a hobby thing for me, it’s not like I’m running a business with it, so no big deal. Again, thanks for taking the time to set me straight.
