Related post count & thumbnails

    Hi,

    I am using the WordPress Related Post by Zemanta in my WordPress and I’ve got two questions.

    1. Is it possible to set more than 15 related posts in pop up window where relations are managed (section ‘select other posts’ under ‘edit related posts’ pop up) ??

    2. Is it possible to redefine the thumbnail once generated.. I’ve changed my post thumbnail in post but in Related Post I still see the old one..

    I will be grateful for your help.

    1. Hm, I’m not quite sure what you have in mind with the 15 related posts in the pop up window — any chance you could send us a screenshot?

    Also — if you wish to add more related posts to your blogposts, you can do that in your plugin settings, but I have a feeling you had something else in mind.

    2. Yeah, you can do that by simply saving your blogpost again or if you set a featured image in the blogpost where you want a new thumbnail generated.

    Hi,

    thanks for your response.. so..

    1. screenshot is available here: http://www.freshweb.pl/www.jpg
    I mean the ‘select other posts’ – there are always 15 posts to select. I want to see more..

    2. Maybe it is that simple, but it does not work in my WordPress.. There in not defined any thumbnail type with 150×150 size in my media settings – maybe that is a problem ?

    Hey, sorry for the late response!

    1. Yeah, we are already working on expanding this feature to this plugin as well in the near future, but for now, this is only available to our users of the ‘Related Posts by Zemanta’ plugin (which you can find over here). There should be at least 30 related posts to pick from, after you click on the ‘Edit Related Posts’ button, if your blog has that many to choose from.

    Other than that, these two plugins are basically identical, apart from a few extra features. I recommend you to try it out and let me know what you think.

    2. We also have a different thumbnailer on that other plugin that should handle images better, although we’re not 100% positive about it. Any chance you could let us know?

    Also — have you tried selecting an images as featured? Our plugin should prioritize those images when making new thumbnails for your related posts.
