I did this: (I searched this forum first πŸ˜‰ after I did this:

1.) I set up the Author-Meta-Tag and Google Publisher Site settings in Yoast Homepage-Setup to enable Authorship and Rich Snippet features in Google search. (5 Days ago)
2.) I tested everything with Googles rich snippet testing tool. And made a google search – see link below. (Today)

I expected the plugin to do this:

The Plugin should put the Authors Name in each post, and enable google to find the authors name automatically, so that the g+picture and authorship is on every search result.

    Instead it did this:

1.) The plugin puts “https://plus.google.com/114875280596037755280″ (my wifes profile) on each post in the rel=”author”-tag (Instead of the Authors Name, as I would have thougt – but maybe this is just right?)

2.) Googles snippet testing tool cannot find the authors name automatically on the website

3.) Some search results of google name the autor, others dont. A picture is only shown for the homepage. Have a look at google here: http://tinyurl.com/m3zwe7w

    Questions:

1.) What is the “Google publisher Site for a company”-option in the plugin for? Should I put my G+-About-Url in it, at all? Or is it sufficient to use the Author-Meta-Tag-Option in the Plugin. (I don’t have a company-site in G+) And what is the difference between the two options?

2.) What should rel=”author” say? Authorname or link to G+-Profile?

3.) If the answer for 2.) is authorname, how do I get it on each post?

4.) What am I doing wrong? I would like to have profile pictures and authorship in all of google seach results and have no error in the snippet tool. πŸ˜‰

Hope someone can help me. I am so close to the solution, I guess πŸ˜‰

    Best Boris

PS: Did I say, I love the plugin? I do! πŸ˜‰

    Hi,

additionally I just realized, that if someone comments a post, google will find him as author of the post! *argh*!
