• Hi There,

I recently moved my hosting and since moving my Contact Form is not allowing me to receive any emails when I put my email address: design(at)alfiegreenmedia.com into the from box.

When I change this to a hotmail I fill in the form on my site and the emails come through straight away – could someone help me try to fix this?

    Thank you very much!

  • Have you spoken to your hosts about this? It could be an issue with SMTP filtering at their end.

Thank you for your reply! I have contacted them but no luck so far, I downloaded WP-Mail-SMTP but am not sure how to configure it, I seem to get an error when sending a test message!

    Have they replied yet?

Hi, yes, When sending a test email with WP-Mail-SMTP it comes through to design at alfiegreenmedia.com so now I am not sure if it is a problem with Contact Form 7?

I don’t think it is. That was proven by the fact that you could send an email using a hotmail from address with no problem. It very much sounds like the SMTP filters at your hosts are rejecting emails with the alfiegreenmedia.com address. Is alfiegreenmedia.com your site url? do your hosts also look after your domain email?

Okay, hmm… Yes my site url is that by the email hosting is separate with another company and they have ran tests and told me that there is nothing wrong at all with the email hosting

email hosting is separate with another company

Aha! This might be why the emails are being blocked by your site hosts. To get to the other company, it will have to go through your site host’s system first and many hosts filter out such emails. As I see it, you probably have only 3 options:

    1. See if you can persuade your site hosts to stop filtering out your alfiegreenmedia.com emails.

    2. Move your email hosting to your site hosts.

    3. Use another mail address – like hotmail or gmail – and set up your own forwarding system.

The reply I got from the Hosting is that I can find the SMTP details in Email Accounts->Configure Email Client on cPanel.

However there is nothing there as the email isn’t hosted with them?
