• I want to have a bilingual blog and I’m considering the following:

Right now I have a blog running on mydomain.com/blog. I think the best option is to have the other one at the same level, like for example mydomain.com/blog_EN

I will then copy a fresh set of files for a new installation and use a different table prefix on my wp-config.php

Any alternatives to this? How people are implementing sites with bilingual content?

    Thanks,
    Felix.

  • There are several plugins that make it easier than installing WP twice.
I particularly liked Gengo but it seems the present version of the plugin doesn’t work with WP 2.3.
However, if you go tot he forums of the gengo site – somebody picked up the development and there is an alpha release for an updated version:
    http://code.google.com/p/gengo-wp23/

At the time when WP and Gengo were fully comptabile (version-wise) I wrote something about multilingual blogging.
