Styling the Toggle Menu

Hi Caroline,

Thank you for such a gorgeous theme. I wasn’t making much headway with our wedding website based on TwentyTwelve – I decided to go for a cleaner, simpler approach and your design was perfect. I’ll post the link if my partner is happy with it;-)

Now, i’m trying to change the background color of the small menu (the one that shows at resolutions of less than 800px) and, although I believe i’ve found the correct element to target, my changes do not take effect.

In my child theme’s style.CSS I have entered the following:

.menu-toggle {
	background-color: #d0c6f4 !important;
	border: none;
	border-bottom: 5px solid #a398f3;
}

However the small menu still shows in brown. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
