Hi,
Noob regarding to WP,but know my way around.
Installation doesn't start, page not found error.
Many threads found with the same error but not a conclusive answer.
Before anyone should ask;
-database is set correct(done this many times before)
-wp-config.php is set correct
-path to install.php is correct
but alas it's a no go!
Is there someone with an answer?
Hans
Not sure exactly the error message/screen you see but several things to consider:
Check the log files (or ask your host)
Make sure you have enough memory allocated to PHP (or ask your host)

Thanks for the reply.
But in what way would allocating memory be of importance to not finding the install.php file?
the error is the normal 404 error page.
if you change the password in your db settings(config file),the error message of the not correct password is shown, this is correct
But changed back it doesn't showup install.php at all
There must be an error in the install.php file header
or includes.

A link to your site may help us.
Okay, put the script described in Finding_Server_Info in your web-root folder. Can you navigate to that?
Also, please let us know your web-server and version and PHP version.
Then, there is the possibility you need to reupload the WordPress files.

Hi,
Downloaded the latest version here, instead of the Dutch version.
Made a clean install with a new DB and password(deleted old DB)
When putting in the correct path to the install file, the next line comes up in the urlbar and again a http404

So did the Finding Server Info script work? If so, did you put the WordPress files and folders in the same place you put that script?
Delete (or rename) any .htaccess file you might have also-that 'Frageblog' reference is weird.
