Child template.php

Hi… my theme has a contact form template stored in “/includes/templates/tpl_contact.php” and an associated action page stored in “/includes/contact_action.php”. Do I need to add any special code, hooks or file structure in the child theme to over-ride the parent and run a customized version? thanks in advance.
