• I am using the Batavia theme at:
    http://svdpexeter.com

Suddenly, for no apparent reason, the blog, which used to extend completely across the screen is now squeeezed into the center at about 50%. And this has unfavorable impact on the spacing on my pages and presentation, my ability to fix things and so forth. Is it .PHP gone wild? Is it a CSS problem? I don’t know.

If I install an alternate theme, it will extend side-to-side and it works but still doesn’t look right.

Browsing with Chrome does the same thing.

I do not have direct access to the core files – they’re on a private server which I don’t have access to. But if I could get one of you fine experts to take a look and give me some suggestions, I could get together with the owner, and see if we can brin this back.

    Thank you all.

Have you identified whether the issue is specific to your theme by deactivating all plugins and reverting back to the Twenty Eleven theme?

No I didn’t. I guess I should take your advice. It’s funny that it happened out of the blue. Let me try that.

WP-Login plug-in. Once deactivated blog turns to sweetness. Activated – blog turns to crap again.

You did it! And it was easy to perform, too.

Looking now for a replacement log-in feature. What’s a good one?

    Thank you.

I’ve written to the plug-in author. Quick and very responsive I must say! Says he sees the problem and is working on a fix. Stay tuned…
