   Frustrated.

   My domain is hosted on Godaddy. My host is Hostgator. I didn't like the nameservers that Hostgator gave me because it had the numbers 666. They told me to go to Godaddy and register private nameservers so that's what I did.

   Installed wordpress using the automated install that is in the control panel on Hostgator. Installed successfully. When I clicked on the link to take me to the admin page, Godaddy's website comes up. I'm wondering if I have to wait for the nameservers to propagate before I can use wordpress?

   Thanks...I know this is a newbie question.

   Small correction: your domain is registered (not hosted) at godaddy.

   Usually - if you read the instructions - every site says that after modifying the nameservers it would take 48-72 hours to propagate through the entire web.
