    Hi,

After first trying a different avatar plugin, which I didn’t manage to get working for showing avatars on user profiles (I could upload avatars through admin), I stumbled upon this plugin. However, I have the same problems. User are permitted to upload an avatar. I uploaded an avatar on one (test) users through admin. Works great, but on the front end nothing happens. The avatar is visible on the profile at the admin side though.

Is there also a way user can upload avatars in their BBPress profile edit section, after creating a profile and skipping the step where they upload an avatar? This is what I aimed to test with an account and haven’t found a solution for that.

    Thanks for your help.

    Best,
    Steven

  • It looks like you’re using BuddyPress, which has its own avatar uploading function. My plugin doesn’t work with BuddyPress. Since it already has its own function, I don’t have plans to try to replace it. As for bbPress, my plugin does work with it. If you want to give Subscribers the ability to upload a plugin, you have to check “Allow Contributors & Subscribers to upload avatars” in the WP User Avatar settings.
