Contributors/Authors Can't Login

    I’m using WordPress, and it doesn’t seem that anyone is able to login. When they login, it goes right back to the main page, as though they never logged in at all.

    I can do so as the administrator, but author and contributor accounts can’t. Does anyone have any ideas why this might happen?

    Try disabling all plugins and switching to the default theme. If this resolves the problem, reactivate them one by one to find out which one was causing the issue.

    It sounds like you have a plugin installed that manages permissions. Regardless, Andrew’s idea will help you narrow it down.

    Got it. Thank you. It was my “Under Construction” plugin. Even though the construction mode was off, just having it active caused the problem.
