Password protected posts with a teaser?

I have searched as best I could and have not found a plugin or hack that does what I want.

I would like to have a password protected post, but that post have a teaser that is viewable before the user puts in the password. For instance, where it says “this post is password protected” I would like to say “the password is my favorite color” or some hint so that the friends I want to read the post can figure out the password without my having to have a separate post with the hint or email them what it is.

Is there a way to do this? Or is it a feature of a newer version? I haven’t had a chance to upgrade yet, so I don’t know.
