I’m using the latest version of WordPress and the latest version of the Register Plus Redux plugin. The other active plugins are:
    Ajax Plugin Helper
    Akismet
    Cimy User Extra Fields
    Collapsing Pages
    Custom Contact Forms
    Cystat
    Embed iFrame
    Hover
    Include It
    List Category Posts
    Member Access
    Page Links To
    Pagemash
    Sidebar Login
    Theme My Login
    WP-DBmanager
    WP-Polls
    WP-Serverinfo

Is there a way around this?

Are you receiving the conflicting plugin message, or are you just having a problem that you cannot diagnose? Regardless, Theme My Login specifically does NOT work with Register Plus Redux, you may want to start there.

I see the message, and when I create a new user, the password I enter is ignored and another is generated — at least, as far as I can tell from the email I’m sent. The email is not the customized one from Register Plus Redux. I guess I’ll disable TML and see what that does to my site.

I deactivated TML and still got the error message. Deactivated Cimy User Extra Fields and the message disappeared. Unfortunately, I’m not sure I can do without those plugins. All the extra fields have, of course, disappeared from my profile page. Since I need those, I guess I can’t use Register Plus Redux, right?

Sorry to say no. I’m not sure how invested you are in Cimy, but you should be able to create the same fields in Redux and have them point to wherever Cimy is currently storing the values. But I’m not sure anyone has done that previously so you’ll be forging new territory. Theme My Login is a definate no-no at this point in time. What exactly are you doing with that plugin?

I’m using TML to handle the layout of the registration screen, since it was so easy to use. Just turned it on and it picked up all the extra fields from Cimy and listed them neatly. I’m probably not up for forging new territory, as this is a nonprofit site which I maintain for free. I need to keep it running as smoothly as I can, and to try not to do too much customization in the process. Customization has bitten me before!

I did find another plugin that will let me approve registrations, which is mostly what I need. I’m going to give that a whirl and see if Cimy and TML play nicely with it.

I have a testing site tim/mwfordesigns.com and if you register it just stays on the registration page it should redirect to the home page after registration?
Is this other plug-in a problem?

WP Sliding Login | Register Panel

Hi mwfordesigns. Yes, TML and Cimy were having conflicts with register plus redux. I don’t know if the conflicts would cause the problem you’re having, though. If you have those plugins, disable them and see what happens. I ended up removing all 3 plugins. I found wp-members, which looks like it will do everything I had these 3 plugins doing, without the possibility of conflict.

mwfordesigns… I’m not sure. But, the easy way to figure it out is to disable WP Sliding Login | Register Panel, then register a new user, what happens?

Okay I disabled the other plugin
WP Sliding Login | Register Panel and after registration the redirect still does not redirect to the home page??

    What should I look at?
