Yes, all you have to do is go to Appearances – Editor and click on footer. Here you need to delete everything EXCEPT this – <?php wp_footer(); ?>
check out my site and send me a message if you need any more help. I have modified this theme.

@hellfst – please keep help on these forums per the forum guidelines – http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Helping_Out
@mxaza – to make that kind of modification, you need to first create a child theme – otherwise your changes will be overwritten and lost when the theme is updated.
See: http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes
Thant’s correct. What I did was downloaded a seperate blackbird theme from the internet and renamed it “bd” on the folder extracted folder. Then I uploaded it to the wordpress, so now I have two of the same themes, but one is modified without the footer and other stuff, real theme is disabled.
That’s not a valid child theme.
I have recently built a website using the Blackbird theme. On the home page runningdevelopmentacademy.com, there is the words ELEGANCY WITH SIMPLICITY Blackbird Theme allows you to create your website through an easy to use themes options panel. I need to know how i can delete this statement from my home page? Thanks.

It would be worth creating your own thread to discuss that.
check your wordpress setting first, Settings – General.
