Need to remove HOME link from TravelWP theme

    I would like to remove the HOME link in the navigation menu.

    I looked into the functions.php file as well as in the headers.php but couldn’t see or understand anything that could turn the HOME link off

    Please advise

    Can you create a Custom Menu through the dashboard
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Appearance_Menus_Screen and then only put in the navigation items you want?

    Let me mention my objective here so that you all can help better

    I would like to put up a static page on the site as the homepage, but don’t want to have any reference of that “extra” page anywhere on the pages or the posts menu. I was thinking I could disable the default home page, create a new HOME, put up the content on that page and make it static

    Usually if you create a Custom Menu this takes away the Home link in the navigation menu.
    If this does not happen in your theme, you ought to contact your theme’s vendors because that’s not a theme we support here.

    Alternatively use a theme distributed on WordPress.org.
